Sub: ALLOWANCES – Payment of Conveyance Allowance to the Blind, Deaf and Dumb and Orthopaedically Handicapped Employees – Instructions – Issued – Reg.

Instructions were issued vide Circular 1st cited that the blind and Orthopaedically Handicapped Employees shall apply for grant of Conveyance Allowance to their respective Unit Officers based on the recommendations of the Medical Authority, the Unit Officer shall forward the application along with the recommendation of the Medical Authority to the Chief Personnel Manager for obtaining General Manager’s sanction for the needed benefit. Through Circular 3rd cited, the benefit of payment of Conveyance Allowance has been extended to the Deaf and Dumb Employees also.

The Executive Director of Zones in respect of the employees working in Zonal Units and Executive Director (A&P) in respect of the employees working in Corporate Office, BBW and APSRTC Hospital, Tarnaka are authorized to sanction henceforth the Conveyance Allowance to the Blind, Orthopaedically Handicapped and Deaf and Dumb Employees, subject to the conditions stipulated in the Circular 1st cited.

From now onwards the files need not be processed to Corporate Office for sanction of Conveyance Allowance in exercising the above powers.

Every year, in April the Dy. CPM of the Zone concerned shall furnish the details of employees who were sanctioned Conveyance Allowance by the Executive Director/Zone during the preceding financial year i.e., Name of employee, designation, staff No., place of work, Nature of disability, the date from which Conveyance Allowance sanctioned, to the Blind, Orthopaedically Handicapped and Deaf and Dump employees to the Chief Personnel Manager without fail.
