Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation a pioneer for all the State Road Transport Undertakings in the country, moving forward in a positive direction to achieve the goals of the organization by giving an excellent service to the passengers.
With an aim of further refinement, the corporation is strengthening its capacities namely Men, Vehicles and Infrastructure. Among the above Men play a very vital role as they are with different attitudes, perceptions, behaviour, knowledge and skill levels.
To mould the employees for the right attitudes, behaviour and perceptions and to enhance the knowledge and skill levels, the Corporation has established Transport Academy to train the Officers and Senior Level Supervisors and 6 (Six) Zonal Staff Training Colleges to train the Second Level Supervisors, Drivers, Conductors, Mechanics, Artisans, Helpers and Shramiks. Each College is equipped with 4 classrooms with a capacity of 50 per classroom and all training aids. But, it is observed from the attendance particulars of the participants that hardly 15% to 20% of the nominated participants are attending and undergoing the training at all the Zonal Staff Training Colleges.
The training modules for different category of employees are designed to suit the need of the hour. The Principal, Officers of the Corporation are taking classes and interacting with staff to develop their knowledge, skill and attitudes. Besides, the eminent external faculty like Professors, Lecturers, Officials from Police, Medical, Fire departments, Oil Companies and OEMs are also invited to deliver lecturers. The services of the Retired Officers of the APSRTC will vast experience are also included for knowledge transfer. All this activity ensures the growth of the employees, in turn the growth of the Organization.
Therefore, all the Officers are hereby advised to depute the nominated persons to the training institutes of the Organization.
I will be watching the performances of the Unit Officers closely in drafting the staff working under them for training.
