Through Circular 1st cited, Identification Numbers are allotted to the Zones for re-allotment to the Drivers/Conductors who are engaged on Contract basis. It was specified, to furnish Alphabet ‘C’ before the 5 digit Identification number.
The Regional Provident Fund Commission (F&A) vide reference 3rd cited has informed that their software is not supporting Alpha Numeric characters in Account Number of Employees and requested to provide only Numeric Account Numbers.
The matter has been examined in detail. In order to settle the claims, it is decided to provide numeric number “9” in place of Alpha Numeric “C” to all Identification numbers already allotted to Contract employees. The existing and proposed revised Identification numbers to contract Employees are furnished hereunder.

The Dy.CPM of Zones, and Personnel Officers of the Regions, are therefore advised to take necessary action to allot revised Identification Numbers to all the Employees working on contract basis including for those, whose Contract is terminated for having involved in disciplinary cases. A copy of the revised Identification Numbers list may be sent to Secretary, PF(Trust) for record.
Action may therefore be taken accordingly.
