Sub: ALLOWANCES – Payment of Dearness Allowance to the Employees and Officers w.e.f. 01.01.2009 in RPS 2005 – Orders – Communicated.

The Competent Authority has accorded sanction for revision of the rate of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.01.2009 from 21.8% of Pay to 27.6% of Pay per month to all Employees and Officers whose Pay has been fixed in RPS 2005.
Therefore, the revised rate of Dearness Allowance @ 27.6% of Pay in RPS 2005 shall be drawn and paid through the regular Salary Bill of March 2009 and onwards. The arrears of Dearness Allowance for the months from JAN 2009 to FEB 2009 shall be drawn and paid through the regular Salary Bill of March, 2009.
NOTE:1. “PAY” means Basic Pay fixed in RPS 2005 and changes that come about from time to time on account of increment/promotion/reversion/reduction in Pay etc., and shall include Special Pay and Personal Pay. It does not include special allowance.
2. The D.A. shall be calculated on Basic Pay of RPS 2005 and to be rounded off to the nearest rupee i.e., less than 0.50 paise shall be ignored and 0.50 paise and above shall be rounded off to the next rupee.
The above rate of Dearness Allowance shall not be applicable to the Ex-TTD employees, who have not opted to the service conditions of APSRTC and also to the Employees on deputation to APSRTC.
Necessary action shall be taken accordingly.
