Sub:    WELFARE – Extending the benefit of payment of funeral expenses to the families/spouse of retired employees /Officers of APSRTC – Reg.

Ref: 1) Representation of APSRTC Retired Employees Association dated 14.05.2010 and 02.06.2010.

APSRTC Retired Employees Association have requested the VC & MD for sanctioning of Rs.10,000/- towards funeral expenses to the family of Retired Employee on par with in service employees. 

The matter has been examined.

Considering the representations, the Chairman with the concurrence of Financial Advisor has accorded sanction pending ratification by the Board for an amount of Rs.5,000/- towards funeral expenses in case of death of the retired employees of the Corporation including Officers.

On the death of the retired employee, the spouse or the family member shall give death intimation together with Death Certificate to the Unit Officer from where the employee/Officer retired, to enable the Unit Officer for arranging payment.

The above expenditure is chargeable to Account Head 6017.

These instructions shall come into force w.e.f. 01.01.2011.
