Sub:  MEDICAL ATTENDANCE – Providing Medical Facilities to the Retired Officers/Employees and their spouses of APSRTC under Retired Employees Medical Facilities Scheme 2003 – Enhancement of membership contribution by Rs.5,000/- w.e.f 01.03.2010 – Instructions  Issued.

The APSRTC Retired Employees Medical Facilities Scheme 2003 was introduced w.e.f 01.01.2006 vide Circular 2nd cited.  Under the scheme Employee/ Officer retiring on superannuation is eligible along with spouse for medical treatment in APSRTC Dispensaries and Hospital at Tarnaka on par with in service employees and for providing specialist treatment at other notified hospitals.  The Employees/ Officers retired after 08.10.2003 are eligible to join the scheme.

            The retired employee who opts to join the scheme has to deposit the following amounts as one time payment.

Officers                                    Rs.20,000.00

                        Supervisors                              Rs.15,000.00

                        Class III & IV employees         Rs.10,000.00

            The Corporation Board vide Resolution No.93/2009, dated 14.09.2009 resolved to enhance the membership contribution by Rs.5,000/- on every Revision of Pay Scales, in future, for the Employees/ Officers retiring from service on superannuation with effect from the date of implementation of Revision of Pay Scales.

The Revised Scales of Pay-2009 are implemented in the month of March 2010.  

Hence as per the Resolution of the Board, the Officers/Employees retiring from service on superannuation after 01.03.2010 and desirous of joining the “Retired Employees Medical Facilities Scheme 2003” have to remit one time membership contribution as follows:

Officers                                    Rs.25,000.00

                        Supervisors                              Rs.20,000.00

                        Class III & IV employees         Rs.15,000.00

            These instructions will come into force with immediate effect.

            The other conditions stipulated in the circulars under reference cited remain unchanged.
