Sub: ALLOWANCES: City Compensatory Allowance - Payment of CCA to the Employees and Officers of the Corporation working in the Units situated within the territorial limits of Kurnool, Ananthapur, Eluru, Kakinada and Karimnagar Municipal Corporations - Orders - Issued.

Ref: 1. Memorandum of Settlement dated 5.11.2006 reached with the Recognised APSRTC NMU under Sec.12 (3) of ID Act, 1947 on RPS 2005.

            In the Memorandum of Settlement 1^st cited, while indicating the rates of City Compensatory Allowance applicable at specific places, it was agreed, among others, that if City Compensatory Allowance is granted to any new places by the Government, the same shall be extended to APSRTC employees from the same date.  Accordingly, instructions were issued through Circular 2^nd cited.

            The Govt. of A.P. issued orders through G.O 3^rd cited sanctioning the revised rates of City Compensatory Allowance as detailed therein to the employees of the State Government working at various places including the areas covered under Municipal Corporations.

            Instructions were issued through Circular 4^th cited for payment of CCA to Officers and Employees working in the territorial limits of Tirupathi Municipal Corporation w.e.f. 02.03.2007.

            Further instructions were issued through Circular 5^th cited for payment of CCA to the Officers and Employees working in the territorial limits of Nellore, Kadapa and Nizamabad Municipal Corporations w.e.f. 01.04.2005 on par with State Government Employees in terms of GO 3^rd cited.

            The following Municipalities have been upgraded as Municipal Corporations on the dates shown against each.

            1.  Kurnool                   :  19.08.1994

            2.  Ananthapur              :  01.04.2005

            3.  Kakinada                :  07.01.2005

            4.  Eluru                       :  08.04.2005

            5.  Karimnagar             :  08.04.2005

            In accordance with the MoS 1^st cited and GO 3^rd cited, the Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, with the concurrence of Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, has accorded sanction for payment of City Compensatory Allowance to the Employees and Officers of the Corporation working in the Units situated within the territorial limits of Kurnool, Ananthapur, Eluru, Kakinada and Karimnagar Municipal Corporations from APRIL 2005 onwards as detailed hereunder.

            Necessary action shall, therefore, be taken to implement the CCA rates as stated above and to draw the same together with arrears from April 2005 to June 2009 in the Salary Bill of July, 2009 to the Employees and Officers working in the Units situated within the territorial limits of Kurnool, Ananthapur, Eluru, Kakinada and Karimnagar Municipal Corporations, after pre-audit.
