Sub: ALLOWANCES - House Rent Allowance - Enhancement of HRA to 14.5% at places where HRA is admissible at 12.5% at present and to 12% in respect of places where HRA is admissible at 10% at present - Orders Issued.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Settlement dated 22.01.2010 reached with the Recognised APSRTC NMU, vide reference 1^st cited instructions were issued through Circular 2^nd cited on Revision of Pay Scales 2009 of Employees of the Corporation, wherein, it was stipulated vide Item No.9, that HRA shall be payable to the eligible employees on the Revised Scales of Pay 2009, at the rates indicated therein, against each category of places w.e.f 01.04.2009.

It was also stipulated that in case Government notifies any changes in the rates of HRA to any specific place(s) in future, the rate of HRA at that/those place(s) will be modified accordingly from the same date.

Now the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Ms.No.59, dated 11.04.2011 notified the revised rates of House Rent Allowance.

VC & MD, with the concurrence of Chief Accounts Officer, has accorded approval to enhance the HRA to 14.5% at places where HRA is admissible @ 12.5% at present and 12% in respect of places where HRA is admissible @ 10% at present, w.e.f. 01.05.2011 on par with the Government employees.

Necessary action shall, therefore, be taken accordingly.
