Sub: ALLOWANCES – Payment of Dearness Allowance to the Employees and Officers of the Corporation w.e.f 01.07.2012 in RPS 2009 and payment of Arrears of DA for the period from January 2012 and March, 2012 - Orders – Communicated.

Instructions were issued through the Circular cited revising the rate of Dearness Allowance @ 35.2% of Pay in RPS 2009 from 1st January, 2012 to Employees and Officers of the Corporation and to implement the revised Dearness Allowance through the regular salary bill of April, 2012. It was also stipulated therein that instructions with regard to payment of arrears of Dearness Allowance for the period from January 2012 to March, 2012 will be issued separately.
Now, the Competent Authority has accorded sanction for payment of arrears of Dearness Allowance for the period from January, 2012 to March, 2012 to the Employees and Officers of the Corporation through Salary Bill of September, 2012, after pre-audit.
The Competent Authority has also accorded sanction for revision of the rate of Dearness Allowance w.e.f. 01.07.2012 from 35.2% of Pay to 40.9% of Pay per month to all Employees and Officers, whose Pay has been fixed in RPS 2009.
Therefore, the revised rate of Dearness Allowance @ 40.9% of Pay in RPS 2009 shall be drawn and paid through the regular salary bill of September 2012 and onwards.
NOTE: 1. “PAY” means basic pay fixed in RPS 2009 and changes that come about from time to time on account of increment/ promotion/reversion/reduction in Pay etc., and shall include special pay and personal pay. It does not include special allowance.
2. The D.A. shall be calculated on basic pay of RPS 2009 and to be rounded off to the nearest rupee i.e., less than 0.50 paise shall be ignored and 0.50 paise and above shall be rounded off to the next rupee.
The above rates of Dearness Allowance shall not be applicable to the Ex-TTD employees, who have not opted to the service conditions of APSRTC and also to the Employees / Officers on deputation to APSRTC.
Instructions regarding payment of arrears for the period from July, 2012 to August, 2012 will be issued separately.
This has the approval of VC & MD with the concurrence of FA&CAO.
Necessary action shall be taken accordingly.
