Sub:     FACTORIES ACT 1948 - Renewal of Factory License under the Factories Act,1948– Instructions – Issued.

          The Licenses of Depot Garages/Workshops/Other Production Units under Factories Act 1948 have to be submitted to the Inspector of Factories concerned in time for renewal for the year 2010.  Challan for the license fee payable with Form No.2 in duplicate as laid down under Section 6 and Rule 7 of Factories Act and Rules has to be sent to the Inspector of Factories concerned before 31.10.2009 and obtain the receipt for the same. Challan for the amount should be remitted in to the Bank in Head of the Account No.0230, "Labour and Employment-104 Fee realized under Factories Act, 1948 renewal of license for the year 2010". Any application submitted for renewal after 31.10.2009 and insufficiently completed Form No.2 will not be accepted and a penalty of 25% surcharge, in excess of the amount ordinarily payable for the license will be levied. There is no change in the schedule of licence Fee/Renewal Fee communicated through the circular cited.  Normally all the Unit Officers will take timely action to get the license renewed. However, by way of abundant caution, this Circular is issued.

          Please, therefore, arrange to take necessary action in time to avoid penalty.
