Sub:- LEAVE – applicability of Reg.46 of APSRTC Employees’(Leave) Regulations, 1963 -  Reg.

            As per Reg. 46(2) of APSRTC Employees’ (Leave) Regulations, 1963 “Hospital Leave shall not be admissible in respect of an injury by an accident due to carelessness on the part of the employee, viz. while he was under the influence of intoxicating drinks or drugs or due to willful disobedience of orders or willful removal of safety devices”.

            Instances have come to notice that some of the Unit Officers are processing cases to Head Office to obtain sanction of competent authority for sanction of Hospital Leave, even though the employees are not eligible in the cases of accidents that occurred due to willful disobedience of orders or willful removal of safety devices or while the employees are in intoxicated condition during the duty hours.

            All the Unit Officers, are therefore, advised to follow the Reg. 46 of APSRTC Employees’ (Leave) Regulations, 1963 with regard to Hospital Leave and not to process the undeserving cases for sanction of competent authority as explained above.  

            Deviation of these instructions will be viewed seriously.
