Sub:    WELFARE – Enhancement of Funeral expenses to the families of the deceased Employees and Officers of the Corporation – Reg.

Instructions were issued through circular 1^st cited enhancing the funeral expenses from the existing Rs.2,000/- to Rs.5,000/- to the family members of deceased Employees and Officers of the Corporation.

            Instructions were also issued through Circular 2^nd cited advising the Unit Officers to make the payment of funeral expenses of Rs.5,000/- to the family members of deceased Casual and Contract Employees who have been selected/ recruited through normal recruitment process and died in harness on the same lines as is being done in case of regular employees.

            Vide item No.37 of Memorandum of settlement reached with the Recognised APSRTC National Mazdoor Union on 22.01.2010, it was agreed that when ever the State Government revises funeral expenses to its employees, the same will be revised to the employees of the Corporation.

            The Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Ms.No.192, (General Administration (Services Welfare-I) Department), dated 23.04.2010 has issued orders enhancing the funeral expenses from the existing Rs.5,000/- to Rs.10,000/- to all categories of Government employees including All India Service Officers.

            The Vice Chairman & Managing Director with the concurrence of Chief Accounts Officer has accorded sanction to enhance the funeral expenses from the existing Rs.5,000/- to Rs.10,000/- to the family members of deceased employees i.e. Regular/Casual/Contract Employees and Officers of the Corporation with immediate effect.

            The Unit Officers are therefore advised to make payment of funeral expenses at enhanced rate to the families of deceased Employees and Officers with immediate effect. 

The expenditure is chargeable to A.H.5567 (Production Units) and 6017 other Units.
