Sub: BREAD WINNER SCHEME – Enhancement of the time limit to register the applications seeking employment on compassionate grounds under Bread Winner Scheme by the Spouse/ Children of the employee died in harness – Instructions issued – Reg.

            Instructions were issued through Circular 1^st cited, in regard to recruitment of children/ spouse of deceased employees without the medium of Employment Exchange when the employee dies in harness. It was stipulated vide item-12 of the said instructions, that the applications from the children of the deceased employees shall be entertained within a period of one year from the date of occurrence of the death of the employee and not later.

            Instructions were issued through Circular 6^th cited modifying the one year’s time limit to three years from the date of death of employee.

            Vide item No.28 of the Memorandum of Settlement reached with the Recognized APSRTC National Mazdoor Union on 22.01.2010, it was agreed to revise the time limit to register applications under Bread Winner Scheme from the existing 3 years to 5 years.

            In view of the above, it is decided to revise the time limit to register the applications under Bread Winner Scheme from the existing THREE years to FIVE years from the date of death of employee.

            All the Unit Officers are advised to note that the provision of three years time limit to register applications of Children/ Spouse of the employees died in harness seeking employment, for the posts of Drivers, Conductors and Shramiks, under Bread Winner Scheme is deemed to have been modified to five years.
