Sub: ESTABLISHMENT – Transfer of Driver Grade-I to the post of Asst. Depot Clerk – Consideration of the Representations of ADCs who were transferred to the post of Driver Grade-I for re-transfer to the post of Driver Grade-I by RMs concerned – Orders Issued.

            Instructions were issued through Circular cited that a Driver Grade-I, who is otherwise eligible and willing to become Asst. Depot Clerk, will be allowed only to seek a transfer to the post of ADC at his request which shall be called and obtained in advance before considering such Grade-I Drivers on transfer as ADC.

            It was also stipulated therein that the Driver Grade-I, who is transferred as Asst. Depot Clerk under the above procedure, will not have any option to come back to the post of Driver Grade-I and he has to continue as Asst. Depot Clerk only.

Representations are being received from certain ADCs who were transferred from the post of Driver Grade-I to the post of ADC requesting to re-transfer them to the post of Driver Grade-I on personal reasons.

The issue has been examined in detail and it is decided to authorize the Regional Manager concerned to consider the requests of ADCs who were transferred from the post of Driver Grade-I to the post of ADC, to re-transfer them to the post of Driver Grade-I, subject to their medical fitness to hold the post of Driver. In case they are found medically unfit to hold the post of Driver, they have to continue as ADC only.

This has the approval of Vice Chairman & Managing Director.

Necessary action may, therefore, be taken accordingly.
