Sub: ALLOWANCES – Revision of certain Allowances to Class-II, III & IV Employees – Introduction of Special Squad Allowance to the checking staff – Orders - Issued.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Settlement entered into with APSRTC National Mazdoor Union (Recognised) on 22.01.2010, instructions were issued vide Circular 1^st cited, for revision of certain allowances and introduction of new allowances to the employees in Class-II, III & IV Services. 

As per the said Circular, the following Allowances are being paid to the Checking employees and Jeep Drivers of Squads:-

               1.         Squad Allowance to the                  ::          Rs.320/- per month

                           Checking officials

               2.                  Dak Bungalow Allowance to           ::          Rs.45/- per day

                           Checking officials and Jeep

                           Drivers of Squad

               3.         Travelling Allowance                       ::          As per admissibility

The Staff working in various Squads have represented expressing their difficulties in meeting the expenditure towards accommodation & food etc. while performing checking duties at field level, i.e. within the State and outside the State. 

In consideration of the representation and keeping in view the arduous nature of the duties and financial implications involved in discharging the duties as checking personnel, the Board through its resolution 2^nd cited has accorded sanction for introduction of new Allowance (Special Squad Allowance) to the staff working in Squads as enumerated below: 

1.      @ Rs.80/- per day to the Checking Employees of  HES and @ Rs.40/- per day to the Checking employees of other Squads; and this allowanace will be paid only for those days they perform Checking exercises.  

2.      Allowance @ Rs.40/- per day to the Drivers of HES and @ Rs.20/- per day to the Drivers of other Squads and this allowance will be paid only for those days on which the Drivers discharge duties on the Jeeps involved in exercising the checks. 

These new Allowances (Special Squad Allowance) will come into force with effect from 08.11.2011. 

These new Allowances will be in addition to the consolidated monthly Squad Allowance for which the Checking officials are entitled to.

This has the concurrence of Chief Accounts Officer.
