In view of hike in Postal rates w.e.f 01.06.1997 the Executive Director (Admn) with the concurrence of Chief Accounts Officers has accorded sanction for enhancement of Postal Imprest to various Units and all the depots based on the fleet strength, as shown in the following table.

Note :- For such of the Units/Offices which are already provided with Postal Imprest but not included in the above statement the existing sanctioned imprest is enhanced by 57% rounded off to next Rs.50.00 i.e., where the imprest already sanctioned is Rs.200.00 it is enhanced to Rs. 350.00 and so on.
All the Unit Officers / Depot Managers concerned shall regulate the Postal imprest at Depots/Units accordingly.
