Sub:-    ALLOWANCES -  House Rent Allowance - Increase of rate of HRA from 10% to 12.5% to the employees working at Bhimavaram Depot on par with Government - Implementation w.e.f. 01.09.1994 instead of 08.11.1995 - Orders - Issued.

        The Government through G.O.(P) 1st cited had ordered that the Government employees working in the Bhimavaram Town which has crossed 50,000  population shall also be allowed to draw House Rent Allowance at 12.5% w.e.f. 01.09.1994.

        Instructions were issued through Circular 3rd cited to pay House Rent Allowance @ 12.5% to the employees of Bhimavaram Depot w.e.f. 08.11.1995 in accordance with Board Resolution 2nd cited.

        The Board has reviewed the matter and accorded approval for enhancement of House Rent Allowance from 10% to 12.5% to the APSRTC Employees working at Bhimavaram Depot from 01.09.1994, instead of 08.11.1995 on par with the Government employees vide Board Resolution 4th cited.

        The difference of  House Rent Allowance at the enhanced rate of 12.5% for the period from 01.09.1994 to 07.11.1995 shall be drawn and paid to the eligible employees along with the regular salary bill of July 1997 after pre-audit.

        The Head Office (Main Accounts Section will make provision for outstanding expenses on accrual basis in the on hand March 1997 accounts at the Corporate Office and also reverse the provision JE in July 1997 accounts.  Hence at the time of drawing the difference of HRA, the  Bhimavaram Depot shall operate only AH 09s of respective groups.

        This has the concurrence of Chief Accounts Officers

        Necessary action shall be taken accordingly.
