Sub:- ALLOWANCES - Dearness Allowance - Revision of Dearness Allowance to the employees of Government deputed to APSRTC w.e.f. 01.01.1997 - Orders - Issued.

1. The Government through G.O.(P) cited have revised the rates of Dearness Allowance to the State Government employees in the Revised pay Scales 1993 w.e.f. 01.01.1997.

2. The revised sanctioned rates of Dearness Allowance are shown below for implementation w.e.f. 01.01.1997 in respect of employees drawn from Government on deputation to APSRTC and who have opted for the Pay Scales of parent cadre in Government in RPS 1993 and whose Pay Fixation have been approved by the parent Offices concerned.

per month	to a max. of Rs.3045/-

Basic Pay above Rs.6380/-	40.92% of Pay subject
p.m. and upto Rs.9820/- p.m.	to a Min. of Rs. 3045/-
	and subject to a Max. of Rs.3960/-

Basic Pay above Rs.9820/-	36.40% of Pay subject
per month.	to a Min. of Rs.3960/-

3. The Dearness Allowance at the above rates shall be paid in cash from 1st July 1997.

4. The arrears of Dearness Allowance for the period from 01.01.1997 to 30.06.1997 shall be drawn and credited to the respective GPF/EPF accounts of the Government employees drawn on Deputation to APSRTC. All the Salary Drawing Units shall ensure that the arrears of D.A. are drawn and credited to GPF/EPF by 31.08.1997 without fail.

4.1. In respect of such employees who retir before 1st November 1997 the arrears of Dearness Allowance may be drawn and paid in Cash.

5. This has the approval of Vice-Chairman & Managing Director with the concurrence of Chief Accounts Officer.
