Sub:-    UNIFORM - Supply of 2.00 Mtrs. Terry Cotton shirting cloth instead of 1.75 Mtrs to all eligible Mechanical Staff including Production Units - Reg.

        1.    Instructions were issued through the Circular 3rd cited for supply of Terry Cotton Uniform to Mechanics, all Artisans, Helpers, Cleaners  and Khalasis working in Depots and Production Units from the year 1996 onwards.

        The quantity of Uniform to be supplied per set was stipulated as under

        a) Pant  - Terry Cotton Dark Blue    ....1.20 Mtrs.

        b) Shirt  - Terry Cotton Light Blue      ..... 1.75 Mtrs.

        2.    Through the Circular 4th cited instructions were issued for supply of Terry Cotton Dark Blue shirting cloth instead of Light Blue Shirting cloth to all eligible  Mechanical staff from the year 1996 onwards.

        3.    The matter has been examined in detail.  The VC & MD with the concurrence of C.A.O. had accorded sanction for supply of Tarry cotton shirting cloth at the rate of 2.00 mtrs per shirt to all the eligible Mechanical Staff working in depots and Production Units from year 1997 onwards. 

        4.    The other terms and conditions regarding supply of Terry Cotton Uniform to Mechanical Staff  remain unaltered.

        5.    Necessary action shall be taken for procurement and supply of Terry Cotton Uniform to all Mechanical Staff accordingly from the year 1997 onwards if already not supplied for the year 1997.
