Sub:-    RECRUITMENT  -  Recruitment to the posts of Conductors - Notification of the Selection criteria in the advertisement - Instructions Issued.

        It is observed from the advertisements released by the Regional Managers for filing up the post of Conductors, at Regional level, the criteria for selection to the post of Conductors, which is fool-proof, is not being informed to the respective candidates and the general public.

        In the absence of criteria of selection being informed there is scope for the candidates to being pressure and also approach middlemen who are luring the gullible candidates with false promises to get them selected, and making money.

        In order to obviate this situation, the Regional Managers are advised to notify the criteria for selection for the post of Conductors at the time of releasing the advertisement.

        The criteria for selection to the post Conductor is purely based on marks scored by the candidates in S.S.C or its equivalent examination and Bonus Marks at the rate of 1 mark form the date of completion of 21 years of age or date of passing S.S.C. whichever is later up to 30 years and thereafter two marks from the date of competition of 31` years to 35 years subject to a maximum of 20 marks, are awarded to them.  The candidates will be called for verification of original certificate by the Selection Committee based on merit in the ratio of 1:1.5.

        By informing the candidates about the criteria for selection, the doubts, if any, prevailing with the candidates that they can secure employment as Conductor by bringing pressure or  through middlemen can be dispelled.

        The Regional Managers shall follow the above instructions scrupulously.
