Sub :- CERTIFICATES - Issue of Nativity Certificate to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, BC, & OC communities  by various Authorities - Instructions - Issued.

    1.    During recent recruitment held for the posts of Drivers/Conductors, it is reported that Recruiting Authorities are accepting Nativity/ Residential Certificates issued by Gazetted Officers and other Public Representatives.

    2.    In order to have uniform procedure in accepting Nativity/ Residential Certificates, the following instructions may be followed :

        i)    All Recruiting Authorities shall hence forth accept Nativity/ Residential Certificates, issued by Mandal Revenue Officer only.  Certificates issued by any other Authority, other than Mandal Revenue Officer shall not be accepted.  The above instructions shall be scrupulously  followed without any deviation.

       ii)    However where the minimum educational qualification is SSC and above the period of residency shall be for a period of 4 years.  Where the minimum educational qualification is less than SSC/no minimum educational qualification is prescribed the period of residency shall be for a period of 7 years. (Circular No.PD-73/1988, Dt 05.08.1988).

    3.    These instructions will apply to the on going recruitment and those which will be finalized from today ie., 13.11.1997 onwards.
