            In order to mitigate the hardship being faced by the families of employees died in harness and to render assistance at the earliest, instruction were issued from time to time to consider the dependents of employees died in harness for appointment under Bread Winner Scheme, subject to suitability of candidates and availability of sanctioned vacancies.

           

Through circular under reference 1st cited instruction were also issued to consider the qualified Spouses/children of the employee died in harness for appointment against existing vacancies of Direct Recruitment posts on regular basis, in the first available vacancy on priority basis duly with holding the panel if any already exist to that extent only.

 

            The object of the compassionate appointment under the Bread Winder Scheme to the Children/Spouse of the deceased employee is to relive family from the distress due to the sudden demise of the Bread Winner of the family. If the dependent of the deceased employee has not been provided with employment with in the reasonable time from the date of expiry of the employee, the very object of the scheme is not fulfilled.

           

Therefore, instruction issued from time to time on the subject shall be followed scrupulously and necesssary steps have to be taken to appoint qualified children/spouse of the dependents of employees died in harness within 30 days period from date of death of employees against sanction vacancies as per the existing guidelines duly following Circular instruction referred above and the other circulars issued from time to time on the subject.
