Government have accorded sanction vide their letter No. 590/Tr.III.2/94-8 dated 19.12.1996 of the Principal Secretary to Government, TR&B (Tr.III.) Department for implementing the amendment to the method of Recruitment and Qualification to the post of the Security Officer, as per the resolution of the Board vide Resolution No.114/93, Dt.29.11.1993. The revised Method of Recruitment and Qualification for the Post of the Security Officer as approved by the Board as sanctioned by the Government are shown in the Annexure enclosed to the Notification.

Security Inspector. ii) In case of candidates mentioned at S1.No.3 under the Method of Recruitment they must not be above 45 years of age as on 1st July of the year in which recruitment is made.
d) In case of candidates at (b) (i) & (ii) under method of recruitment, the promotion in the present post must have been declare. e) Must not be less than 1M/ 64cms. In height for ST Candidates and must not be below 1m - 68 cms in height for other Communities. f) Must not be below 83-80 Cms in Chest on full Inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 Cms in respect of ST candidates and must not be below 87 Cms in full inspiration with minimum expansion of 5 cms. in respect of other communities. g) In case of woman candidate must not be less than 152.5 Cms, in height and must not be less than 45.5 Kgs, in weight NOTE: The other conditions Prescribe shall mutant is Matand is applicable to Woman candidate for ST Post provided that in case of BC/SC/ST candidate the Upper age limit shall be Raised uniformly by five years.

Note: Other things being equal preference shall be given to persons trained in the territorial army.
The selected candidate in case of direct recruitment will have to under go training for prescribed period in the stat police department. During the training period he is eligible for a consolidated stipend fixed by the Corporation.
