Sub: LEAVE - Amendment to Regulation 34 and 35 of APSRTC Employees (Leave) Regulations, 1963 allowing the leave admissibility to the Employees in Class-IV service who have put in 12 years of service on par with Class-III Employees - Government approval – communicated.

In accordance with the Memorandum of  Settlement reached with the APSRTC NMU (Recognised) vide the reference 1st cited, it was agreed that the Class-IV Employees will be made eligible for leave on par with Class-III employees on completion of 12 years of service as against the existing 15 years.

Board through Resolution 2nd cited has accorded approval for amendment to Regulation 34 &35 of APSRTC Employees’ (Leave) Regulations, 1963, allowing the leave admissibility to the Employees in Class-IV service, who have put in 12 years of service, on par with Class-III Employees.

The Government vide the letter 3rd cited, has communicated its approval for the proposed amendment to Regulations 34 & 35 of APSRTC Employees (Leave) Regulations 1963, as resolved by the Board. The amended Regulation is notified in the enclosed Annexure for implementation. The amended Regulation is deemed to have come into force w.e.f. 13.05.2011 (i.e. from the date of communication of Government Sanction).

AMENDMENT TO REGULATION 34 AND 35 OF APSRTC EMPLOYEES’ (LEAVE) REGULATIONS 1963.

RATE AND AMOUNT OF EARNED LEAVE:

 

The Earned Leave admissible to a permanent employee shall:-

(a)     If he is in Class-I, Class-II or Class-III Service be one-twelfth of the period spent on duty; and

(b)    “If he is in Class-IV Service One-twenty third of the period spent on duty during the first 15 years of Service and thereafter One-twelfth of the period spent on duty” 

(i)    Provided that an employee shall cease to earned leave when the earned leave due amounts to 300 days. 

(ii)    Provided further that, the maximum amount of Earned Leave that may be granted at a time to an employee shall not exceed   

(a)    120 days if he is a Class-I, Class-II or Class-III Service; and  

(b)    60 days if he is in Class-IV Service during the first 15 years service and thereafter 120 days.

(1)       The half pay leave admissible to a permanent employee in respect of each completed year of service shall --

(a)    in the case of an employee in Class-I, Class-II or Class-III service, be 12 days on medical certificate and 6 days on private affairs; and 

(b)   in the case of an employee in Class-IV service be 6 days on medical certificate during the first 15 years of service and thereafter 12 days on medical certificate and 6 days on private affairs.

 (a)    No change

 

(b)  60 days if he is in Class-IV Service during the first 12 years service and thereafter 120 days.

(1)   The half pay leave admissible to a permanent employee in respect of each completed year of service shall --

 

(a)             No change

 

(b)    in the case of an employee in Class-IV service be 6 days on medical certificate during the first 12 years of service and thereafter 12 days on medical certificate and 6 days on private affairs.
